1. Dictionary form of I DON’T KNOW : 모르다

If you want to say ‘I don’t know’, then just say ‘몰라요.’ The dictionary form of verb "몰라요" is 모르다. 모르다 is 르 irregular verb, so if you conjugate 모르다 to 아/어/해요, ‘모르다’ becomes ‘몰라요’.

 

2. 모르겠어요.

To speak more politely or to beat around the bush, you can say ‘모르겠어요’. Koreans don't really like to talk straight. So rather than saying "몰라요," they usually say "모르겠어요". Also, if you want to say "I don't know" more naturally, you can say ‘잘 모르겠어요.’
